Are we doing enough to help patients of all backgrounds get the care they need?

The goal of medicine and research should be that “all patients, of all backgrounds, get the care they need when they interface with our health care system” (Joyce Sackey, MD, former Tufts University Associate Provost and Chief Diversity Officer). Are we doing enough to reach this goal?
