National Resources to Advance Competency-based Training

Tufts CTSI is a leader within the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Consortium. Our work to advance professional development nationwide includes:

  • We helped define Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training recommendations and CTSA-wide competency-based standards, particularly for clinical research coordinators.
  • We co-launched the DIAMOND portal, a national digital collection of competency-based training and assessment offerings for clinical research professionals.

The DIAMOND portal is a federated online discovery learning space which provides clinical research professionals with easy access to competency-based clinical research training and assessment offerings.

This national portal was created by the Michigan Institute for Clinical & Health Research (MICHR), Tufts CTSI, the Ohio State University, and the University of Rochester as part of the NIH U01 Collaborative Innovation Award called the Development, Implementation and AssessMent Of Novel Training in Domain-based competencies (DIAMOND) project.
