You’ve been assigned to train your new peer – now what?

Onboarding a new coworker doesn’t have to be a hassle! Establishing a training plan can help ease the transition for new staff and save valuable time for existing or departing staff. This course provides the recording and resources from Tufts CTSI's March 2023 Clinical Research Staff Quarterly Training, Peer-to-peer onboarding: Techniques for training your new coworker (or yourself!). You’ll learn about techniques already in use across Tufts MC and walk away with resources you can put into action immediately. Even if you aren’t hiring right now, this session will provide valuable tools for ensuring that the next new hire on your team is set up for success from the start!

• Identify key resources to share with new staff.
• Describe at least 3 concrete ideas/activities for onboarding your next coworker/peer.
• Create a training plan for new staff within your department/team.
